wow reputation
Led by Voren¡¯thal the seer, the Scryers are bloodelves who have broken from Prince Kael¡¯thas and taken up assisting Naaru in Shattrath City. They constantly fight the Aldor and hope to find power in Shattrath ultimately garnering Naaru¡¯s favor in the process. Once you¡¯ve completed the quest necessary to begin your work with a faction, you can select the Scryer. Upon doing so, you will notice that your exchanges with Scryers is much more friendly and with Aldors, much less so.
When first starting with the Scryers, you will need to begin building your reputation to Honored. You can do so by finding Firewing Signets, most easily found in Firewing Point. In this location, you will find plenty of monsters that drop these at about a 50% rate. You will also be able to pick up and stack Runecloth and Netherweave cloth in the process.
The next step is to raise your level to Revered and Exalted. It¡¯s not as easy a prospect, but will allow you to make some decent gold in the process. Sunfury Signets, the first item needed for leveling up to Revered, can be found in Netherstorm. In each Manaforge there are numerous monsters with reputation items. Monsters themselves are level 67 or so and include everything from Bloodwardens to Researchers. There are plenty of Manaforges too, so you can easily switch islands if anyone becomes too heavily farmed.
Arcane Tomes for Exalted status are dropped by the same monsters, though at a much lower rate, only 5-10% instead. You will eventually be able to gather all of your Scryer reputation items from the same monsters and a whole lot of great loot that can sell well later on.
When you increase your reputation with the Scryer, you do so as well with the Sha¡¯tar. However, the process inversely lowers your reputation with the Aldor. If at any point in time you decide to switch alliances and work with the Aldor, you need to raise your reputation with the Scryer further. This can be done by offering up Dampscale Basilisk Eyes to Adyria in the Lower City. You¡¯ll find these items in the Raastok Glade near Silmyr Lake at the farthest northern point. You can sell these as well for about 10-12 gold per stack.
As with any of the different factions, Scryers offer the chance to build up a substantial gold reserve and enjoy new aspects of the game. It¡¯s a great chance to enjoy the add-ons that the Burning Crusade expansion offers.
One of the main factions in the Burning Crusade expansion pack, The Consortium is a group of thieves, traders, and smugglers led by Nexus Prince Haramand in the Outlands. While their main point of operations is in Stormspire, they also show up in Aeris Landing, Midrealm Post, in the Mana-Tombs and in various other locations throughout the area.
The key item for raising reputation with the Consortium is the Oshu¡¯gun Crystal Fragment. Gathering these can be done most efficiently directly outside Oshu¡¯gun. They are actually found on the ground or as monster loot. Finding enough of them quickly should be easy as they drop at about a 50% rate. Not only that, but you can sell them at the Auction House for about 10 gold per stack.
The next items you¡¯ll need for raising your reputation are Pairs of Ivory Tusks. Still a very good drop rate, Ivory Tusks drop from Wild Elekk in Nagrand and will sell for almost 2 gold apiece. Almost anywhere in the region you can find these creatures, making them a prime target for farming.
When you become friendly with The Consortium, you¡¯ll be given membership and a salary. You¡¯ll find that you¡¯re given a bag of gems every month to be gathered from Gezhe at Aeris landing. The higher you raise your reputation, the more gems and the better quality gems you¡¯ll receive.
In The Consortium, you can also compete quests to raise your reputation. They include ¡°Stealing from Thieves¡± and ¡°Head Full of Ivory¡± for neutral reputation, ¡°Obsidian Warbeads¡± and ¡°Heap of Ethereals¡± for friendly reputation, ¡°Ethereum Secrets¡± for those Honored, and ¡°A Thousand Worlds¡± for Revered.
Some of you might be trying to raise your reputation with multiple factions at the same time, including the Mag¡¯har and Kurenai. If that is the case, the best way to do so is to kill Ogres in Nagrand. It will raise your Mag¡¯har and Kurenai reputation by 10 for every kill and drop Obsidian Warbeads for Consortium reputation. You might also find valuable Oshu¡¯gun Crystal Powder for use in the Halaa Research Token quest.
